Just a quick update...

Colin was 23 lbs, 14 oz and 32" long at his one year appt (50/75% for weight and 90% height). He has 8 teeth and I knew he was working on his molars but when we went for his appt he had 2 already cut through and was working on #3...explains a lot of drooling and crankiness :) Now he is working on #4 I think.

He is not crawling and not walking but has found his own mode of transportation in rolling...so I'm not sure we will see either for a little while since this seems to be working for him. He REALLY wants to crawl but just can't seem to put 2 and 2 together. Either he is pushed up on his arms and his legs are straight out OR he is on his knees and his head is on the ground LOL He tries so hard...I give him 30 days.

Besides that...nothing much. He loves the water so we will be in the pool a lot this summer. He went swimming with me and Nana so since Daddy wasn't there we went under and he did great!

Tons of pics on Nana's camera...now that she moved it's harder to get them. I will though!

Here are more pictures...Colin was sick, he had a ear infection and then got a stomach virus on top of that (Fun times!) So I guess you get a rash when you are either coming off amoxicillian or ending a virus so we are not sure what caused it but here are some pics. I let Colin do his first painting for his Aunt Katy's birthday...he was more interested in squeezing the paint though his fingers than actually painting on the paper but she loved it. And yes I am aware that it looks like a blood bath, a little less red next time I think!

Colin is 9 months tomorrow and time is flying by :( I wish I could say that he is moving yet but he is not ready and when Colin is not ready there's no pushing him! He does patty cake and "so big" and other things that make him just adorable (if I say so myself) He has 3 teeth and I think a 4th & 5th that are right there and are kicking his butt (and his parents!)

Since I'm sure you were just dying to know about his well baby visit...

Weight: 17lb 13oz - 95th percentile
Height: 26" - 90-95th percentile (though we would like a remeasure, we think he is longer)
Head: 44.5" - 90th percentile

Yup he is a big boy! But everything looks good, he is hitting all his milestones and she gave us instructions for starting solids. We will wait until 5-6 months since he obviously isn't lacking in nutrition :)

4 month appt today! (and shots..poor little guy) I will update with his stats tomorrow! The pediatrician started us on a new formula last week when we took him in after the San Diego trip and it has done WONDERS. It has some rice starch in it and it #1 stops him from spitting up so much and #2 keeps him full longer...so bigger bottles less often, YAY!

If you have talked to me at all you know that Colin hates tummy time...with a passion of a thousand suns. Now that he is going to daycare I asked them to do tummy time since Daddy doesn't like to. Well, we are getting better!! Here he is and he lasted around 5 minutes before the breakdown started...I'm so proud LOL

You can't say that I'm not keeping up on pics! Not much going on here...he is drooling and chewing more than ever. We are trying to decide how to change his eating habits, guess that's a question for the pediatrician in a few weeks (4 months!) He is a grazer...2 oz here, 4 oz there and it's like he's never full. Miss Lisa at daycare says we need to force a schedule but do we just let him scream because that's what he does...maybe she can listen to it but Mommy has trouble :(

Not much to update...Colin started daycare part-time this week and I think he will love it! Gives Daddy a break and gets Colin involved with other children...I'm just counting down until he gets his first cold :(

3 Months!!

I can't believe Colin is 3 months...it has flown by. He is such a happy baby, he doesn't nap but he gives us a good 8-10 hrs straight at night so it's hard to complain :)

We will have height and weight next month at his appointment. We think he has gotten even longer..he is just a BIG boy! Looking at these pictures your probably are thinking of the Michelin Man but I swear he doesn't look like that in real life!

New things...he's getting better at belly time, still cries but takes longer to get to that point :) He has found his hands and that has replaced any toy we could possibly give him. He is talking more and squeals when he is really happy. I think he laughed out loud a little at Nana last night but we will need a repeat before I can beleive what I heard. He holds his head up pretty good and when we have him in the sitting position he doesn't scream and is noticing that he can see so much more!

The key to a happy Colin? FANS If there is a fan in the room you are golden...you will get smile after smile. As soon as I get a vido camera I will try to get this because it is ridiculous how happy fans make him.

2 Month Checkup

Colin had his 2 month checkup on Friday. And I slightly remember us worrying about his weight at one point right? Well not anymore...here are my big boy's stats:

Weight: 14 lb 1 oz (95th percentile)
Height: 25.5 inches (100+ percentile if there was one)

We knew he was long but Pat and I both guessed around 12 lbs for the weight, boy were we surprised! She said that these numbers could even out though because he's still young and there are tons of growth spurts between 2 & 4 months. Next appt in September!

And of course there were shots :( Yes he screamed but I breastfed him right away and he calmed down. Mommy handled it very well, just one tear...and trust me that's GREAT LOL He was smiles the rest of the day and I think they finally hit him on Sunday because he slept all day and then last night he slept 9+ hours (I had to leave for work with him still sleeping SOB!)

Colin is one month old today! He is doing really good. We had a pediatrician appt the other day and Colin weighed in at 9 lbs 4 oz! He is changing everyday and I am trying to prepare myself to go back to work on July 1st...I don't want to yet. Here are some pics from today! We went to the pediatrician last week and Colin was still below his birth weight so we had a week to get him back up before they would be concerned. So we went back today and my little chunker gained almost a pound! He's up from 6 lb 12 oz to 7 lbs 11 oz!!! Here's some more pics for you :)

The nursery is done (except for maybe a rug...not sure yet) and I love it! Pat did such a wonderful perfect job...it's exactly what I had in mind. So we are almost ready, I'm going to rewash some stuff because we have had some wind and the dust that came in is crazy...going to have to make sure that window is closed when it is windy like that. One Month!

It's April 14th so exactly one month until my EDD...crazy. Here's pic...I don't feel that big but wow! (oh and yes I chopped the hair...love it!!!)

No picture in a while...I keep forgetting! No really, it's not that I feel like a whale, I really keep forgetting. I will try and remember to get Pat to take one tonight.

Meanwhile, here are a few pics of the boy. We had our growth scan last Tuesday and everything looks perfect! He is an estimated 5 lbs 14 oz, is head down ready for action and was sucking his hand...not his thumb but his hand. You could see his cheeks sucking away :) And about those cheeks...if the tech said once she said it a thousand times "Looks at those chubby cheeks". Poor boy has momma's cheeks LOL

I start weekly appointments after my next appt on the 21st and I also get to enjoy twice weekly monitoring (Non Stress Tests) on top of that because of my age. My ancient age of 35 :P

Pat is on a roll! The carpet was installed Monday and we put the crib together that night...I know he did it just for me since he wasn't feeling well, he's a keeper :) Since then I washed the bedding and put it in but of course my pics aren't of that. Here's what I have so far, he's putting the closet organizer in today so I can start emptying the bins of stuff into the room.

Had another appt yesterday and all is well. He isn't moving as much so the OB had me do a "kick"count" last night and of course the little bugger passed with flying colors. So nothing again for 2 weeks!

Hello Third Trimester!!

We had an ultrasound yesterday and Baby Boy's (still no name for this poor kid) heart is perfect and everything is measuring right where it should!! They guessimated his weight to be 2 lbs 4 oz and he is head down right now and it was nice to see what part of him is kicking/punching me :)

Oh and my placenta moved which is also very good news!

Here is the progressing of the closet. He's been given a due date so that we can get started on the painting and getting everything together:) The first pic is a before with a 30" door and the next is it widened, getting ready for the 48" one. It's going to look so nice!! We picked paint this past weekend so I'm getting antsy to paint!!

I'm 6 months today and from I understand he is now viable outside the womb which is very exciting. Of course we want him to bake a little longer (at least 3 months longer please!)

I forgot to take pics of the closet but will do it tonight. Now that the bedding it coming (tomorrow!) I think Pat will move a little faster so we can paint :)

Just thought I'd give an update since this seems to be the boring part of pregnancy as far as I can tell. I'm closing in on 24 weeks and can't believe it! Pat has started on the nursery closet and we need that to be done before anything else can start. I had picked out crib bedding but he decided he didn't like it so we ordered another one yesterday. Since the other one has already shipped we will have to pick when they come in...I'm pretty sure the second one will win since I like it a lot too. Sorry haven't checked in, I'm just back to work from almost 2 weeks off...I could use another week:)

Here are some belly pics from yesterday, 21w4d. (no idea what I'm looking at in the first one LOL) I've definitely popped a little there. Still feeling really good and the movements are happening more and more...nothing consistent yet but I LOVE it!

I had a shower in PA while I was visiting and was overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone. Heather did a kick ass job in organizing it and it went perfectly. I really can't wait to go shopping but Pat is making me wait (party pooper LOL) I think I will wait to see how the shower goes here in AZ before I start the shopping spree. I do have pics from the shower but they are loaded on a digital frame my mom got us for Christmas and I haven't transfered them yet...I will!

We had the unltrasound this morning and our little boy is perfect. Yup, we are having a little boy! I am so excited!!!! I stopped on my way to work to pick up my first baby clothes, 2 PJs. The rest of the ultrasound went perfect, well as perfect as he would let it. They couldn't get a good enough look at his heart so we have to go back in 8 weeks...he was moving around too much. I asked if could've been the Fruit Loops for breakfast and she assured me it was not LOL!

So another ultrasound in 8 weeks to check his heart and to check my placenta (was lying low). I get to see him again and *hopefully* they will switch on the 4D and I can see his little face:)

I was up all night dreaming (excitement?) so I am definitely looking forward to a good nights sleep tonight.

I'm pretty sure I've felt the baby!! It happens once a day if that but the other night it was definitely "him" moving down there...so weird! It felt like a tickle below my belly button and then definitely a gas bubble that people described it as. I can't wait to feel more! (Remind me I said this when "he's" got a foot in my rib) Other than that things are just moving along fine, we are so excited for our ultrasound on Monday...first time I've ever wished a weekend to speed up:)
